Open Today: 08:00 - 18:00
Open Tomorrow: 08:00 - 18:00

When:  Thursday 21st October through Saturday 23rd October.

You can touch the life of a child who feels forgotten.  Many millions of children overseas are victims of poverty, armed conflict, family breakdown, natural disaster, or illness.  A shoebox of gifts from you can impact the life of a child with such joy that they will remember it forever.

Operation Christmas Child invite you to visit their promotion stand this week.  The local volunteers will be in the Centre Thursday, 21st of October to Saturday, 23rd of October.

You are welcome to a “How to Pack a Shoebox” leaflet and will be shown examples of gifts to put in the shoebox.  If you can’t come in, then please look at operationchristmaschild.org.uk for information.  You will also find there many videos of the children’s joy.

You can use your own shoebox (no larger than 12? or 30cm on the longest side).  Please wrap the top and bottom separately.  Or if you visit their stand, they will offer you a free pre-printed box.  You can then either pack your shoebox right away, over half-term, or later in November but please ensure to include a variety of new gifts: toys and games, school supplies, and hygiene items. Please also remember to add a photo or letter from yourself, so the child knows who the gift is from and why you sent it

Your completed shoebox can be taken to Costa Coffee or Wilko in the Centre.

The shoeboxes will be distributed to a child overseas in Central Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe or Africa to let them know their are loved and not forgotten this Christmas.

THE FINAL DATE TO BRING YOUR BOX IS MONDAY, 22ND NOVEMBER.
